Imagine...No parents, No home, No food, Dressed in rags… Your only Christmas wish that someone might give you some food, or a safe place to sleep. This is the situation for hundreds of homeless, orphaned children in Africa who arrive as early as 4 a.m. at the gates of the orphanages we help support. The children at the gates are actually small families of children who are trying to survive on their own, typically with no adults in their lives. Many times, children of 10 years or even younger…

At Sima CBO we understand that the future of Kenya is in the children that we serve. With the support of volunteers around the world we are able to serve the widows and orphans in our community to varying degrees. We help with school supplies, basic needs and have even had the opportunity to help build a home for a desperate widow and her orphaned grandchildren. We do this because we know that these are God's most precious amongst us.
Through this program we endeavour to reach out to people of all age groups with the gospel and Community at large. We in Sima CBO feel that all problems faced by human kind, need to deal with the spiritual needs then the physical needs will be easily dealt with. Given the example of the Clashes, HIV/AIDS scourge which has and it still is killing many people regardless of their age and status. To successfully realize the goals and objectives of this program, we endeavour to work in partnership/collaboration with other churches and Christian organizations both at local and international level. AIDS is the leading killer disease in the country, which has claimed lives of both men and women of ages mainly between 14-40 years. Yet as shocking as these deaths are, the impact of HIV/AIDS does not end with them. Because those dying from AIDS are mainly people in the prime of their lives who are often parents, a less well-known and calamitous effect of AIDS is the vast numbers of children orphaned by the disease.
Sima's carries out intervention activities with a Community/ Christian approach with love and compassion towards those families, which have been affected and infected by HIV/AIDS epidemic and other issues causing human suffering.
Through the community development and empowerment we mainly target to work with the existing Community Based Groups since they are based at the grassroots and they can easily identify most of their pressing problems in their communities and are able to come up with possible solutions to address them.
Realizing the importance and role to empower women, youths, and men, in order to get income and skills to alleviate poverty.

Praise! There are some issues or my opinion asking myself about Peace in North Rift and Mt.Elgon for about security.
- Leaders will never bring Peace in their areas due to not reach to the common man (mwananchi).
- I will Peace come and if not settle internal displacement People’s (IDPs) who are still in camps.
- Settle unemployment for the youths.
- Fighting Poverty.
For my appeal comment to Peace in Kenya and ipeace network we need to create an office to equipped resource to advocacy for the Peace in the areas where conflict is that is a solution where we shall meet directly people without organizing seminars, meetings in big hotels, use only leaders, and other things.
Let us bring resources down to the people to utilize it in proper way. Trans – Nzoia district as cosmopolitan district need apply literature to use in order people to work together.
Let us join together and get a solution to protect our people.
Thanks.
Johnstone

Brother, I have sent you this message asking you to give me permission to extend Sima to Uganda, that is, to open up a Sima branch in Uganda, because the work that Sima- Kenya is doing is the same work needed to be done in Uganga.
I have come across many orphans who have failed to go to school because they do not have money for school fees.
In relation to the above, I am kindly requesting you to avail to me some sponsorships, if they are availabe, so that we can help some of the disadvantaged children these ends.
Thank you.
Hoping to hear from you soon
MAY THE LOVE OF GOD BE WITH YOU AND MAY OUR PRAYERS KEEP US IN UNITY.
GOD BLESS YOU.
MWANJA KENNETH.

I also want to help the orphans that are these ends in Uganda, but I am also faced with the same constraits that you are faced with. But let us struggle, we shall make it, that is, getting sponsors who will help us in caring for these orphans.
Thank you.
Keep in touch on new developments.
